   The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) announced on Feb.6, 2002 in its Notice that China would investigate into the dumping import of art printing paper originally produced in the United States, Japan, The Republic of Korea and Finland.

   MOFTEC announced the preliminary adjudication in its Notice No.45, 2002 on Nov.26, 2002 that China would impose temporary anti-dumping measures against the product-investigated that are originally produced in the United States, Japan, The Republic of Korea and Finland.

   The product-investigated was listed as 48101100 and 48101200 in the Custom¨s Import Tariff Number of the of the People¨s Republic of China when the case was put on file, but these numbers were canceled later on since new Import Tariff Number was put into effect as from 2002. Now the product-investigated is listed as 48101300, 48101400 and 48101900 in the Import Tariff Number.

   Since many companies are involved in this case and the situation is complicated, MOFTEC decided under Article 26 of the "Antidumping Rules of the Peoples Republic of China" that the investigation on this case will be prolonged for another 6 months up to Aug.6, 2003.
