Nations, Kong said at a regular press conference in Beijing on Tuesday.
””””He said the parties concerned welcomed Wang's visit and the expectations of
a more positive role by China in this regard. They also promised to keep in
close contact and cooperate with China's special envoy.
””””During his visit from Nov. 6 to 14, Wang held in-depth meetings with
foreign ministers and other senior officials from Palestine, Israel, Syria,
Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt. He briefed them on China's principles and attitude to
the Middle East peace process, and urged the resumption of peace talks, Kong
said.
””””Wang also met with Amr Mahmoud Moussa, general-secretary of the League of
Arab States, and held talks with Middle East special envoys from the European
Union, the United States, Russia and the United Nations, Kong said.
