¡¡¡¡CAIRO, Nov. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maherwill meet on Sunday with US Mideast envoy David Satterfield on a roadmap on Mideast peace, the official MENA news agency reported on Saturday.

¡¡¡¡During the meeting, the two men will discuss the latest Mideast developments, especially amendments to the roadmap plan floated by the United States and various parties concerned, MENA said, without elaborating.

¡¡¡¡Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Maher said the roadmap is being revised, and he was expecting Satterfield will present a new paper that would contain "new remarks and ideas."

¡¡¡¡Earlier this week, the US envoy visited Israel and the Palestinian self-rule areas for talks on the peace plan, which envisages a Palestinian state with temporary borders by 2003 and a final status agreement between Israel and the Palestinians by 2005.

¡¡¡¡The six-page draft plan worked out by the Quartet Committee, comprising the United States, the European Union, the United Nations and Russia, also calls for comprehensive political and security reforms in the Palestinian National Authority.
