¡¡¡¡BEIJING, Oct. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said here Tuesday the fight against terrorism should not be linked to any specific ethnic groups, religions or countries.

¡¡¡¡Liu made the remark at a regular press conference when asked tocomment on the joint anti-terror statement issued by leaders at the 10th annual Economic Leaders' Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.

¡¡¡¡The spokesman said that as an international battle, the anti-terrorism campaign has won support and cooperation from most countries in the world and leaders of APEC members have decided tostrength anti-terrorism cooperation in such fields as customs, communications, finance and networks.

¡¡¡¡This cooperation is on the basis of the APEC Shanghai meeting last year to create a sound and safe environment for regional economic and trade development, Liu said. Enditem
