ˇˇˇˇBEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- China's real estate sector showed steady
growth in September, along with the increase in the completion of construction
projects and average housing price, theNational Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said
Wednesday.
ˇˇˇˇThe latest NBS figures show that in September, the real estate index,
indicating China's real estate development, reached a record 104.97 points for
the year, up 0.51 points from August.
ˇˇˇˇFrom January to September, a total of 113.42 million square meters of
housing was built, up 26.4 percent year-on-year.
ˇˇˇˇThe average housing price in the first nine months was 2,368 yuan (about
286 US dollars) per square meter, up 6.4 percent from the same period last year.
ˇˇˇˇBetween January and September, a total of 486.3 billion yuan (about 58.73
billion US dollars) was materialized in housing development, a rise of 29.4
percent from a year earlier.
ˇˇˇˇAccording to the NBS, the overall trend of China's real estate index
maintained steady in the first nine months, with continuous growth in the last
