Indonesian police chief says C-4 explosive used in Bali

””””JAKARTA, Oct. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Indonesian Police Chief General Da'i Bachtiar said Tuesday the main bombs used to explode two nightspots in Bali on Oct. 12 were a mixture of C-4, an advanced plastic bomb which also contains the explosive material RDX (Research Development Explosive), and trinitrotoluene (TNT).

””””The same explosive was used in the October 2000 bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen, which killed 17 US sailors and wounding 39.

””””Earlier on Monday, the joint investigation team of the Indonesian Police and the Australia Federal Police told a press briefing that two bombs had been used to explode Paddy Cafe and Sari Nightclub at Legian street in Bali.

””””The first explosion at Paddy is believed to have been caused byone kilogram of TNT and the second, much more powerful, is caused by at least 50-kg explosive at Sari Club. Meanwhile the third explosion near the American consulate on the island was caused by half a kilogram of TNT.
