¡¡¡¡BEIJING, Oct. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- Massage is an ideal job for blind people in China and there are more than 40,000 blind massagists with professional qualifications across the country, an expert said.

¡¡¡¡Over 90 percent of those have jobs with monthly income averaging over 1000 yuan or even exceeding hitting 10,000 yuan (1,200 US dollars), according to Cheng Weipin, deputy director of a national instruction center for massage therapy by blind people.

¡¡¡¡The first national massage contest was held in Beijing last week and 80 percent of the contestants were blind people, who gave outstanding performances on stage.

¡¡¡¡Though China now has 600,000 massage therapists, more are stillneeded, especially blind massagists, the expert said. Enditem
