¡¡¡¡ JERUSALEM, Oct. 14 (Xinhuanet) -- A total of 46 innocent Palestinian bystanders have been killed in dozens of assassinationscarried out by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) since the Palestinian intifada (uprising) broke out in September 2000, according to a latest report.

¡¡¡¡The report was issued jointly Sunday by the Israeli Public Committee Against Torture and the Palestinian Society for the Protection of Human Rights and the Environment (LAW).

¡¡¡¡Among the victims, 19 bystanders, including five children, were killed from November 2000 to January 2002.

¡¡¡¡Since the beginning of this year, another 51 Palestinians have been assassinated, including 27 innocent bystanders.

¡¡¡¡According to Monday's Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz, the two human rights organizations called on the Israeli government to immediately abolish the assassination policy, indict those responsible for implementing it, compensate the relatives of the victims and punish those who planned and carried out the assassinations.
