¡¡¡¡BANGKOK, Aug. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Border problem had made trade between Thailand and Myanmar go down further, according to a report of Thai Farmers Research Center Thursday.

¡¡¡¡In the first half of this year, the center said, Thailand shipped only 3.54 billion (88.5 million U.S.dollars) in consumer goods to Myanmar.

¡¡¡¡Meanwhile, China, Laos and Vietnam had strengthened their traderelations with Myanmar, it added.

¡¡¡¡China's products, particularly consumer goods and electrical appliances, had flowed into Myanmar in place of Thai goods, it added.

¡¡¡¡However, the center expected the border trade between Thailand and Myanmar to improve soon following the recent official visit byThai Foreign Minister Surakiate Sathirathai to Myanmar. Enditem
