Turkey warn against poisonous substance used for terror attack

 ĦĦĦĦANKARA, July 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Turkish police warned on Wednesday that a poisonous biological or chemical substance has possibly been smuggled into Turkey to be used in a terrorist attack, reported the Anatolian News Agency.

ĦĦĦĦThe Turkish Security General Directorate asked all provincial directorates to take urgent measures against this poisonous substance. It also informed the Gendarmerie General Commandership about the matter.

ĦĦĦĦThe US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has found out that a Georgian man named Abu Atiya sent the poisonous substance, which looks like an ointment, to another man in Turkey who uses the code name of Musab.

ĦĦĦĦThe US Embassy in Ankara conveyed to the Security General Directorate the CIA's message, which said the substance would be used in the next 20 days.

ĦĦĦĦThe substance which could penetrate through the skin will be used either by Musab or by another terrorist named Abu Tasiir, saidthe message.

ĦĦĦĦIt also stated that the terrorists might use the substance against the US or Russian embassies or facilities in Turkey.

ĦĦĦĦThe Security General Directorate ordered its men to take measures in shopping malls, hotels, sports halls, stadiums, bus stations, airports, and US and Russian buildings in Turkey.

ĦĦĦĦThe directorate also asked the related parties to inform expertsand medical units if they detect the substance.

ĦĦĦĦIt was understood that Abu Atiya might have sent the same poisonous substance to Georgia, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. Enditem
