¡¡¡¡BRASILIA, July 2 (Xinhuanet) -- The Brazilian soccer team Tuesday was welcomed by 20,000 fans on its arrival at this city's Air Base.

¡¡¡¡When leaving the airliner, Cafu lifted the trophy together with coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, and players descended afterwards amidst ovation.

¡¡¡¡The team went to the Three Branch Square, where some 150,000 Brazilians expected them to pay tribute to them.

¡¡¡¡Ronaldo, the World Cup top scorer with eight goals, said: "Only in this moment, when we arrive in our country, by receiving this popular energy, I feel I'm a penta-champion".

¡¡¡¡Brazilian President Fernando Henrique Cardoso is to give the Award of the National Order to Merit to the members of the Brazilian team. Enditem
