¡¡¡¡ BEIRUT, May 20 (Xinhuanet) -- A radical Palestinian guerrilla group Monday accused Israel of being behind the car explosion that killeda son of the organization's chief, Oriental radio reported.

¡¡¡¡A spokesman of the popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC) said 38-year-old Jihad Jibril, a son of PFLP-GC chief Ahmed Jibril, was killed by a car explosion schemed by Israeli intelligence agency.

¡¡¡¡The car blast occurred on Monday morning in Beirut's business area of Mar Elias that killed Jihad, who was in the driver's seat. Security sources said about two kilograms of explosives were placed under his seat.

¡¡¡¡The spokesman confirmed that PFLP-GC will definitely revenge the assassination.

¡¡¡¡Jihad was the military leader of PFLP-GC's Lebanese branch. He studied law in a Lebanese university and was a resident of Beirut.

¡¡¡¡The Syrian-backed organization rejects any peace deal with Israel since the beginning of Palestinian-Israeli negotiations. It is on the U.S. State Department list of terrorist organizations.
