¡¡¡¡BANGKOK, May 4 (Xinhuanet) -- The Thai government will soon repatriate more than 700 Myanmar laborers infected with serious communicable diseases including HIV/AIDS, the healthy ministry here announced Saturday.

¡¡¡¡These workers were identified during a recent regular medical checkup, which is mandatory for all foreign workers in Thailand when they renew work permits every year, according to a statement from the ministry.

¡¡¡¡Thai officials said sick foreign workers need to be sent back in time for the sake of their health.

¡¡¡¡According to Thai official figures, there are some 560,000 foreign laborers working in the country, and most of them came from neighboring countries including Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia. Enditem
