Ugandan, S. African Leaders Discuss Congo, Burundi Situation

   KAMPALA, May 1 (Xinhuanet) -- Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni
has held a meeting with visiting South African Deputy President
Jacob Zuma discussing the recent progress in Congo and Burundi,
said a press release issued by the State House on Wednesday.
   Zuma called on Museveni at the State House, briefing him on the
recently concluded Inter-Congolese Dialogue that was held in Sun
City of South Africa.
   The war in the Democratic Republic of the Congo pitted the
Kinshasa government backed by Zimbabwe, Namibia and Angola against
the rebels supported by Uganda and Rwanda.
   Museveni and Zuma also reviewed the progress of the Burundi
peace process,  according to the press release.
   Museveni is the Chairman of the Regional Peace Initiative on
