HONG KONG, April 28 (Xinhuanet) -- An earthquake measuring 5.6 on
the Richter scale occurred in Taiwan at 9:23 Sunday evening,
according to reports from Taiwan's local seismological bureau.
   The epicenter was located at sea at a depth of 47.7 kilometers
and 104.2 kilometers east of the Hsiulin seismic center in Hualien
County, eastern Taiwan.
   The tremor could be felt in Nanao, northeastern Ilan County.
