Three NPC Deputies Deprived of Seats in NPC

   BEIJING, April 28 (Xinhuanet) -- Three deputies to the Ninth
National People's Congress (NPC) have been deprived of their seats
in this top legislative body of China.
   This was announced here Sunday at the closing meeting of the
27th session of the Standing Committee of the Ninth NPC.
   According to the announcement issued by the NPC Standing
Committee, the three deputies are Li Fuqian from central China's
Henan Province, Xue Shouqin from east China's Jiangsu Province and
Mo Jun from south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
   Li Fuqian, former board director of the Zhengzhou Baiwen Co.
Ltd., was suspected of providing fake accounts, and the other two
were suspected of corruption, according to the announcement.
