HANGZHOU, April 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Mao Linsheng was elected mayor of
this capital of east China's Zhejiang Province at the ongoing
first session of the 10th Hangzhou City People's Congress Saturday
morning.
   Mao, born in January 1954 and a graduate of the former Zhejiang
Chemical Engineering Institute, was appointed acting mayor of
Hangzhou by the 40th meeting of the Standing Committee of the
Ninth Hangzhou City People's Congress on January 18 this year.
