¡¡¡¡BEIJING, March 26 (Xinhuanet) -- China is glad to see the opening of the Arab League Summit and expects a successful outcome which is of vital importance to the Arab world, Chinese Foreign Ministryspokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said in Beijing Tuesday.

¡¡¡¡It is essential in the current international situation for heads of Arab countries to gather together to exchange ideas on key issues of common concern and to reconcile their positions, Zhang told a press briefing.

¡¡¡¡As a loyal friend of the Arab world, China appreciates and supports any effort that leads to peace and stability in the Middle East, Zhang said.
