HANOI, March
16 (Xinhuanet) -- Henrique Calisto of Portugal will coach Vietnam's national
soccer team for four months from May for the regional Tiger Cup soccer
tournament. Pham Ngoc Vien, general secretary of the Vietnam
Football Federation, Saturday said that Calisto, now a technical adviser
to a team in Vietnam's professional V-League, would start his contract on
May 16. Singapore and Indonesia will jointly host the Tiger Cup
from late August. Vietnam's under 23 team failed to win a
medal in the Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia last September under the
guidance of Brazilian manager Dido Silva. Christian Letard
of France became manager of the under 23 team earlier this month.
