¡¡¡¡COLOMBO, February 28 (Xinhuanet) -- Sri Lankan President ChandrikaKumaratunga and Foreign Minister Tyronne Fernando left here Thursday for Australia to attend the Commonwealth heads of government meeting in Brisbane from March 2 to March 5, officials said.

¡¡¡¡Fifty-four leaders of government will discuss the issue of terrorism in the context of the September 11 terrorist attack on the United States last year.

¡¡¡¡The Commonwealth has adopted a collective stand against terrorism and formulated regulations to check terrorism funding within its member countries.

¡¡¡¡The Sri Lankan delegation will also hold bilateral talks with several heads of state.

¡¡¡¡Britain's Queen Elizabeth II is expected to inaugurate the meeting. Enditem
