YANGON, February 7 (Xinhuanet) -- Myanmar and Thailand reached an
agreement on avoidance of double taxation here Thursday afternoon,
the state-run Radio Myanmar reported.
The agreement was signed by Myanmar Minister of Finance and
Revenue U. Khin Maung Thein and visiting Thai Foreign Minister
Surakiart Sathirathai on behalf of their respective governments.
Prior to the signing, Vice-Chairman of the Myanmar State Peace
and Development Council (SPDC) Maung Aye and SPDC First Secretary
Khin Nyunt met with Surakiart separately.
Surakiart arrived here Wednesday on a three-day official visit
to Myanmar at the invitation of his Myanmar counterpart U. Win
