BEIJING, August 31 (Xinhuanet) -- Poland's Marcin Urbas kicked
hard to win the men's 200 meters final in 20.56 seconds here today
in the ahtletics competition of the current Universiade. Kazakhstan's Gennadiy Chernovol finished second in 20.57 ahead
of G.C. Du Plessis of South Africa, who clocked 20.58. Urbas was second when he was off the curve, with Chernovol
staying one shoulder in front of him. But the Pole demonstrated a
tremendous final kick to win the photo finish race. Urbas entered the final with the fastest personal best time of
19.98 seconds. After winning the title, the beamed Pole said:"It
is my first gold medal at a world major championships. I am very
excited about it. It is the second time for Urbas to show in the Unversity Games.
