BEIJING, August 27 (Xinhuanet) -- China won its fifth game in a  row by defeating Brazil 93-54 on the way for its first Universiade basketball gold since 1993 in the women's pool second round on  Monday.
   The United States clawed back from 13-point deficit to manage a victory over Russia, 79-68, after they entered the top eight round- robin with two wins and one loss in the first round.
   China, who beat the Americans eight years ago in the final of  the Universiade, will meet the United States on Tuesday in a Group E tie.
   In Group F, Canada edged off the Netherlands 76-61 while the  Czech Republic overwhelmed Lithuania, 91-68.  
   Top two teams of each group will advance to the semi-finals.
   After losing to Canada 68-67 in the first round, the Americans  met trouble to hold down Russians' long shots for the first half,  trailing 40-27 towards the end of the second quarter.
   But they used a 12-0 run in the decisive quarter to take an  untouchable lead at 73-62 with 4:20 minutes left when the Russian  girls collapsed down the stretch.
   China's forwards Hu Xiaotao and Chen Luyun scored 19 points  each to have another typical Chinese game, which leaving their  opponents out of hope with half a game.
   China led at 50-32 in the first half before holding Brazil to  14 and eight points in the following two quarters to have the good of the match.  Enditem
