Center举行。女歌手阿丽西亚-凯斯(Alicia
Keys)获得包括“最佳新人”、“最佳R&B女歌手”、“年度最佳歌曲”在内的五个奖项，成为本届格莱美的最大赢家。老牌乐队U2紧跟其后，获得包括“年度最佳唱片”、“最佳流行乐队”在内的四个奖项。
华人音乐家在本届格莱美也取得了不俗的成绩，谭盾创作的《卧虎藏龙》，一举战胜《人工智能》等，夺得了最佳影视原创音乐专辑。
